State social support benefits

The present system of state social support consists of following eight benefits:

1. Child allowance
2. Social allowance
3. Housing allowance
4. Parental allowance
5. Foster care allowances and grants
6. Birth grant
7. Funeral grant

The following benefits are income tested: child allowance, social allowance, housing allowance.

Applications for state social support benefits are processed by labour offices (municipal authorities in Prague) according to the applicantʹs permanent residence. Applications for benefits must be filled out forms prescribed by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (http://www.mpsv.cz/) or on the Integrated Information Portal of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (portal.mpsv.cz).

Applicants with a permanent address in Pilsen city can apply for the benefits at Martinska 2, Pilsen.
