Your first EURES job 4.0

What is Your first EURES job 4.0?

Your first EURES job is a European Union job mobility scheme to help young Europeans find a job or work-based training opportunity in other Member State, Norway or Ireland and to help employers find qualified young workers within a larger territory.

Your first EURES job is testing a new way of providing customised job mobility services to young people and employers through an online innovative platform EUJOB4EU. Under this scheme, national employment services provide support – information, recruitment, matching, placement and funding – for both young jobseekers and businesses interested in recruiting from outside their home country.

The initiative, co-funded by the European Union, sees the collaboration of 9 EU Ministries of Labour in Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Spain, together with the Città Metropolitana di Roma Capitale and a large network of associated partners.

Who qualifies for support?

EU, Norway and Iceland nationals aged between 18 and 35 and living in any EU country, Norway or Iceland.

All employers legally established in EU countries, Norway or Iceland offering contracts of at least 6 months’ duration, provided that pay and conditions comply with national labour law.

What support is available?

For young jobseekers

The scheme funds language courses or other forms of training. It also covers travel expenses for young people applying for jobs or work-based training (apprenticeship or traineeship), enabling them to attend job interviews and settle in other EU countries to take up employment.

The mobility package includes other support measures for young people, described in the Your first EURES job Guide.

For employers

Companies with up to 250 employees can apply for financial support towards the cost of training newly-recruited workers, trainees or apprentices and helping them settle in.

How can I take part?

In order to participate in Your first EURES job you must simply register on EUJOB4EU platform.

If you are an employer, you will be contacted by our staff who will support you in the definition of your vacancies and offer recruitment and matching services.

If you are a young jobseeker, you will be contacted if we have a job/apprenticeship/traineeship offer corresponding to your profile.
